This message is for young men.
I find it very disturbing and annoying whenever I see young men who are easily distracted.
If you are a young man who is easily distracted, there is a limit to what God can commit in your care.
You might make heaven, but there are levels of God's Assignment on earth He cannot entrust with you.
A distracted man cannot retain respect.
An easily distracted man is a pawn.
An easily distracted man is a weakling.
An easily distracted man cannot birth a big vision.
Even if you try to do so and by chance your vision comes to life, with your own two hands, you would scatter it.
There is a level of "ruthless focus" required to carry and birth a bold vision, lead a family, or inspire a generation.
You cannot be a distracted man and still seek or claim to be the head of your household, tribe, or industry.
A distracted man is a danger to himself and to the people around him he has been called to impact.
Whether you know this or not, being a man puts a certain pressure on you that only "focus" can relieve.
As a man, there's a burden only you must bear.
However, when you are focused and you cut off every form of distractions, you free yourself to fulfill your "manly mandate".
If there is one skill you must have as a man it is your ability to maintain razor-sharp focus on worthy causes.
Let nothing sway you.
Build a strong Distraction Detection System (DDS) that can quickly and easily detect distractions and neutralise them.
Not everything should worth your time.
Not everyone should command your attention.
Not every place should host your presence.
Not every hobby should find residence with you.
Is not every lady you should date (or marry).
Have some respect for yourself.
Raise your standards, elevate your bar, and make it extremely difficult for people to distract you.
Sadly, today, we have many able-bodied young men with great potentials but who have allowed their oil to dry up.
Just because of one distraction or another.
They start out well and show great promises, but then after a while, they fall off the wagon and lose concentration.
Don't allow this to happen to you.
It is easier and cheaper to maintain your focus than it is to regain it after you have long lost it.
Make it difficult for people to distract you.
