One of the ways that I test a business idea is by the number of everyday people who say to me, "I am interested".
The estate agent I was talking to yesterday asked, "What do you want to do with the property?"
I replied, "We will sell cheap-cheap Tshirts in large quantities, like 2k, 3k Tshirts"
He replied, "Ah, let me call my wife. She will call you abeg. Abeg Mama, she will call you".
Then today, the logistics partners had a sales person call us because we signed up on their platform.
"Hello. You signed up yesterday but you havent booked your first delivery. Do you have any issues with the platform?"
I replied, "We are launching on 1st November. We sell cheap Tshirts like 2k, 3k+. We signed up ahead so we can integrate the APIs and do test everything ahead of launch"
He replied, "Please can you tell me the website so I can shop too?"
Almost everyone I talk to, is interested.
They immediately ask for details.
This is one way I vaiidate a business idea.
