Life Nuggets

The older you get, the more you realize luck is just exposure.

If you sit in the same chair, same routine, talking to the same people, nothing new happens.

You have to leave your comfort space to win.

Travel more.

Talk to strangers.

Try a new hanging out spot.

Post on social media.

Start a side hustle.

The world rewards motion.

You don't find opportunity sitting in one place.

1. Asking people when they will get married when you are not very close to them is plainly stupid. Marriage is part of a person's private life. That should not be your concern.

2. Being overweight and big in size and expecting others to squeeze themselves for you in public transport. They are not the cause of your big size. You lack discipline because you eat too much without exercising. Pay for an extra seat instead of inconveniencing others who might have paid same fare as you.

3. Entering a public place with body and mouth odours and expecting people to respect you. You lie! You have already abused and disrespected yourself by entering a public space in such condition.

4. Impregnating a girl, and expecting others to contribute to the upbringing of the child. Do you think your penis is bigger and more functional than theirs?

5. Informing your boss of your resignation over dissatisfaction, and accepting the job back again after he/she pacified you. Na premium sack and disgrace dey front gidigba dey wait you.

6. Fighting someone who will lose less than you if things go wrong. Not every fight is worth the stress.

7. Staring at strangers for too long and in an unnecessary manner. It makes people scared and uncomfortable.

8. Talking to people you do not know about your life in public transport.

9. Do not switch immediately to answering a call while discussing with somebody, without seeking their permission to opt out. When you are discussing with someone and a phone call comes in, excuse the person and take the call. The person is not a tree. He/she deserves to be regarded.

10. When you are walking on a tiny space and someone is at your back moving at a higher speed than yours, give them allowance to pass. They are not your bodyguard.

11. Going on a date and pressing your phone throughout the period. You should have told the other person that both of you would be having a phone pressing challenge instead of a date.

12. Using your fingers to pick your nose and still expecting others to shake you when you stretch out your hand.

13. When you meet someone who is way older than you, allow them to stretch out their hand for a handshake, and not the other way round.

14. When someone calls you on phone, you speak first, except the call is suspicious. Don't keep quiet and allow the caller to speak first.

15. Do not enter someone's house with dirty feet, or use their toilet without flushing. You will never know the stress it took them to put their house in order.

16. When you borrow something from someone, return it after use. Do not allow them to ask you for it or come to you to get it.

You can add yours.

One thing life has taught me is that I should never become so comfortable that I begin to believe misfortune only happens to "careless" people.

Everything is tough until it becomes easy. Be patient and stay committed!

Teach your heart to notice the small blessings, even on the hardest days. Life will not always go the way you planned, but there is always something good to be thankful for. Focus on that. Choose gratitude every day.

Who you listen to matters a lot.

If what you're constantly hearing is a negative view of yourself, it will eventually affect the way you think and live.

Be deliberate about what you allow into your ears. Yes, there's freedom of speech, people are free to say whatever they want. But you are equally free to prioritise what you choose to hear.

Lean towards people, conversations, and influences that remind you of who you are and reinforce the values you want to live by. The right voices don't just make you feel good, they call out the best in you.

Guard your hearing, so you're not constantly susceptible to the noise and and trash others may say about you.

Most times, the best way to assess people’s character and who they are, is through their DIGITAL FOOTPRINT.

Don’t ever make the mistake of thinking that a man who comes on social media to write that any woman going to a hotel to meet a man has sexual intention, will hesitate to rape any woman who comes to his hotel room. In the same vein, you see all those women who busy themselves trashing the marriage institution, you’d be a fool to marry them and think you won’t end up with a broken home or failed marriage.

More often than not, we are what we write here. Check people’s posts and comments on trending issues and judge them by them. Or not. Your call!

Don't pray for a life without Challenges. Only those who are six feet under the ground have no challenges.
Instead, pray for the wisdom, strength, and resources to solve your problems. Challenges are part of human existence, and every problem you overcome is an opportunity to grow.
Without challenges, there can be no progress, and without progress, there can be no prosperity.

As I grow older, I am coming to terms with the fact that:

Life is a lot easier when you stop treating every act of foolishness as a personal attack.

Some people are having a bad day. Some are genuinely unaware. Others... well... they're just faithfully committed to chaos. 😂

Not everything deserves a front-row seat in your mind.

I've found that overlooking certain things is a superpower. It doesn't mean you didn't notice. It just means you've decided your sanity is more valuable than giving free accommodation to someone else's nonsense.

The older I get, the more convinced I am that peace is something you protect, not something you stumble into.

So let the dross be dross. Let the rubbish fall off without sticking.

Not because people are always right. Not because you're weak. But because your peace is simply too expensive..

Some battles aren't beneath you because you're proud.

They're beneath you because they're simply not worth your peace.

But there are things that are absolutely out of your control including characters and behaviours of people around. Life in general is unpredictable, we must out grow some things as an adult. Add patient and resilience to your virtue. It will keep you standing firm when the storms of life blow.

Olówó kan láàrín òtòṣì mẹ́fà, òtòṣì èèyàn di méje ni.

Translation
A wealthy man in the midst of six poverty-stricken men simply increases the number of poor men to seven.

Moral
Individual success is good, but if it is not connected to others, it only makes the problem more visible. The goal is not to be the one who looks different. The goal is to change the conditions so that difference is no longer necessary. Anytime you see one person thriving while many are struggling within the same space, it is a signal of failure of impact and influence.

Be happy for others while you wait for your turn. Their success doesn’t mean yours is delayed —it’s proof that dreams do come true. Your time is coming. Stay patient, stay focused, and keep going.” 🖤🔥

REMEMBER

One valid reason not to help people at times is that premature help can hinder the very process that is meant to strengthen them, just like the story of the girl who, in trying to help a caterpillar out of its cocoon, prevented it from becoming what it was created to be.

May God grant us the wisdom to know when to help and when to allow growth.

AVOIDING UNNECESSARY PRESSURE

1. Put your kids in schools you can afford because expensive schools don't guarantee good results. Just ensure they attend a good affordable school

2. Rent apartments you can pay for conveniently. Don’t live in a house you struggle to pay yearly.

3. Let’s plan our lives and live within our means. Save more and spend less.

4. Some women buy food for their children every morning before going to school or even for the whole family, do you know it’s cheaper to cook at home?

5. Some people don’t earn much, but have DSTV at home, go for GOTV and upgrade when your income upgrades. It’s still the same CNN anyway!

6. Eat healthy meals and protect your family from mosquitoes to avoid going to the hospital always.

7. Take advantage of food and fruits in season, its cheaper and you can be creative to create amazing meals.

8.Don’t copy your neighbor’s lifestyle, she earns well and her husband is a ‘big man’

9. Don’t follow trends, wear clean well-ironed clothes and keep your hair neat. You would still look good.

10. Keep your circle small, keep only friends that have senses!

11. Above all things, have the fear of God, have integrity, don’t be lazy and be prayerful.

12. Planning is the key, if you fail to plan, you are planning to FAIL.

13. Don't do more than your budget this Time, there is no award given to best family that wore an expensive cloth for the year

14.Don't be incompetition with anyone...
The purpose of shoes and clothes are to make us smart and good.
