BEGINNERS GUIDE TO ARBITRAGE BLOGGING

HOW TO GET STARTED AS AN ARBITRAGE BLOGGER!!!

Before i explain what you need ehnn, let me tell you why i love arbitrage blogging and why people rarely do something else other than it once they test the light.

Unlike other businesses, you don't friends or family to share your flyers, you don't even need to talk to anyone, you don't have to sell anything, you don't have to do sales, you don't need people to trust you, the visitors need you more than you need them-- depending on your niche.

You can run an infinite number of blogs if you have the resources, you can scale as large as your `greed` permits, it's less stressful compared to average businesses of nowadays, imagine a young man can make $10k, $100k from one blog, do you know what it would cost to replicate same in a 'brick and mortar' (physical) business or even some online businesses nowadays?

You don't need any staff. You don't have to make posts everyday, if you have 15-30+ blog posts you're fine for the year or even forever. It's less tasking. If you prep the system well, the only two things you do daily is.. (1) Fund your ad accounts (2) Service your traffic banks.

It's that simple... But... it comes with it's risks, once you understand the risks involved, and you flip profit for a few months prior, even when the worse happens, it should ordinarily not affect you that much, but the risks are still worthy to note.

In this series, i will share all the risks involved in Arbitrage blogging, so no worries, at least before you make up your mind to buy an Adsense account, you should first know what you're going into and prepare mentally and financially.

Here are what you need to be an arbitrage blogger, and in the next post i will share the risks involved and how to mitigate some, and also how to properly start.

Just take the below as part of what i will write about in coming days-- a rough curriculum.

📌 1: You need a Blog + Adsense: I don't advise you to create a blog from scratch and start applying for Adsense approval of the blog, it's a lengthy process it can take 3-8months to be approved, sometimes, you don't even get approved, your blog and hosting fees ends up going for a waste. However, it is cheaper to do this, but i advise serious people to buy.

You have to Buy a Blog that comes with Adsense, How to Buy is a long post on it's own, so maybe after i write about the risks, i will write how to buy, where to buy and how much in range. But if you want to buy a Blog + Adsense set your mind, it's not cheap, about N200K+ ($150) for a verified Adsense + Blog depending on whom and where. There are Pakistani that sells cheaper but Nigerian vendor and third-parties always pad their prices, but my next post will give you clarity sha, and which is better. Also note:

That it is cheap doesn't mean it's good. Some can end up wasting your time because of ads limit, while some gets banned as soon as you send traffic. It's dicey but i shall tell you all you need to know.

Plus, you can become a group of 2-5 people and co-own the blog. We call it Partnership, i've done that before, and our blog made over $450k in a short while before it was banned.

We pool resources and strategies together, everyone has their own sub-domain, and we pump traffic to earn within one Adsense account, once an Adsense account is good, old and solid it can even earn $100k/month but if you venture take the risk of trying to earn so much on a new account, it becomes and Otilo situation.

📌 2: You need a Niche: The two most popular niches are Jobs and Scholarship, remember in the opening of this post i told you, the users needs you more than you need them? You'll discover shortly. You can also setup both into one.

Another way to go pro, is define the blog like a Japa Blog i.e Travel blog, not just for Nigerians, a few other countries wants to Japa too, Remember this: "It's not just about any country, but country that can give you high CPC"-- this is very vital, that we talk about Japa doesn't mean you should target Indians or Philipines. Don't worry in subsequent posts we will dissect why and whats important.

So you need 15-30+ posts about that topic. And after writing, give the blog 24-72hours for Adsense bots to crawl through the pages, because Ads doesn't show properly on a new blog with new posts, so you don't end up sending traffic to a blog that ads are not having "high fill rate".

📌 3a: Now that you have a Blog + Adsense + Posts setup, your next point should be setting up traffic banking strategies before sending traffic. There are 4-5 recommended methods, when i start writing on them you'll get it clearly or you can research about traffic banking. Whatsapp Channel, Telegram Groups, Email, ChatBots, Push notifications are part of them, i will just show you the service i use and the best ways to set them up.

📌3b: Sending traffic to the blog: This is where it gets interesting. This is where the arbitrage got it's name. Say you send 100k worth of ads traffic to the blog and you made $100 (N150,000) that's 50% ROAS (Return on Ads spent). So you made 50k with 100k traffic.

This is the fuel of arbitrage blogs, many pull out when they reach here, some don't flip profits. But not for us. We already have 3a in check, and the methods employed for the ads are free from bot traffic, so best believe, as long as real human visitors land the website, profits must be made.

Now when i talk about this section in the near future, i will tell you how to structure your budget, the best time of the month to start ads if you're low on cash, so you get get paid the following month based on Net-30 basis.

--

The above is just a summary of what's required. E no pass like that. Your strategies in-between is where the money lies and those are what i will uncover in this series over a course of few days/weeks.

Google Adsense Arbitrage comes with it’s risk. It can be seen as a high risk, high reward venture.

If you’re new to the topic, Google Adsense Arbitrage simply means, running a blog, then sending paid/search traffic to the blog and hoping to earn more that the cost of sending these traffic. e.g You spend $50 on ads to send paid traffic to your blog, and on your Adsense dashboard, you earned $100, this amounts to a 50% ROAS (Return on Ads spent).

However, while your increased earnings depends on the methods of quality traffic acquisition and how you service your traffic banks, the discretion of getting paid at the end of the month (Net-30 basis, every 21st of the month) hugely depends on Google themselves after reviewing your traffic quality and advertisers feedback. That is why i have to make this post to share all the risks involved..

So before you jump into trying to be a blogger or make money from Google Adsense Arbitrage, i wanted to write and list all the risks involved.

Risks in Blogging for Google Adsense

1: Adsense Ads Limit:

This is the commonest risks new bloggers face. It’s now very certain that a new arbitrage blogger with a new blog that doesn’t yet have search traffic must face Ads Limit.

What is Ads Limit? this is when Google limits the amount of ads that displays on your blog. In real sense, they reduce your fill-rate, lets say fill rate across your blog to show ads was default to 100%, they make it 1% or even 0% which means, you and your visitors browse across your blog pages and ads don’t display to them.

You’re not banned, but your blog is not displaying any ads.

Why do they do this? they do this because their system must have seen a bad traffic pattern, with invalid click activities ranging from accidental clicks or poor conversion for advertisers, so to save their advertisers, your Adsense account is slammed with ads limited. They do this mostly to new blogs + Adsense account, because you’ve not been stress-tested enough or trusted to know the quality of your traffic or you have an uneven traffic pattern.

Ads limit returns within few weeks to several months, but as soon as you send quality traffic preferably from Search, things begins to return to normal. Ads limit can be draining especially if you rely on paid traffic, as you may be running ads, sending on traffic to your blog meanwhile ads aren’t being displayed to visitors thereby causing a huge loss and very low ROAS. Ads limit could also lead to a ban, if the system can’t reconcile that you’d send quality traffic.

2: Adsense Clicks Limit:
This is similar to Ads limit, the difference is that, the ads fill rate are 100%, ads fully display on your blog pages, but the clicks counting on your Adsense dashboard is 0 (Zero), since no clicks are counting, the CPC (cost per click) would also be Zero.

Clicks limit is nearer to ban than ads limit, and its advisable to keep whatever traffic source running while the algorithm or supervisory team is doing their review on your account. Any uneven pattern or total stoppage of traffic further increases the time of the review or worse a ban.

3: Low CPC:
This is low cost per click. It strongly depends on the content of your niche, the GEO (country of the visitors) and the amount an advertiser is willing to pay for ad clicks — there could be more metrics Google takes into account to decide the cost of CPC but the aforementioned are just basic.

Now, when your CPC is low, there isn’t any way to break-even i.e flip profit, because not everyone who lands on your blog has to click on ads. A small fraction would be interested to click on ads, and if that small fraction that clicks on ads didn’t earn up to what you spent to acquire all the visitors from paid traffic, you run at loss. It then means your arbitrage is non-profitable.

Low CPC can improve over time, you could also store lots of traffic banks and use these traffic banks traffic to consolidate for more earnings while your ads optimize and “picks up”,

You can research about Increasing CPC.

4: Google Search Update:
If your traffic relies heavily on Google search, a single Google search update can sink your website down on SERPs (Search engine result pages), so this is an important thing to note. However, nowadays Adsense Arbitrage rarely rely on Google Search but mostly paid traffic.

5: Delay in Ads Optimization:
In your first few days or running ads, your ads account, creatives would still be under learning, the Facebook ad algorithm would be studying the creatives and whom to show them to.

When i mean Ads i mean the Advertising channel, where you send paid traffic from.

This process of Optimization for Facebook for example takes a few days to a week or more so during this period, expect higher cost per result, the cost of acquisition of users would be high, so breaking-even in the first few days is impossible

6: Ads Account restrictions:
Advertising network for reasons best known to them can restrict your ads account or if your creatives or strategies conflicts with their terms, or nowadays that Facebook AI Algorithm is messing up, can restrict your accounts, and once this happens, the pipeline of your traffic is disrupted.

So that’s a risk on its own.

7: Adsense Ban:
This is the ultimate blow. Once Adsense bans your account, it’s over. Both your Adsense account, money earned currently, money in balance, the Blog(s) attached to the Adsense— all are gone.

You’re also told that you’re no longer allowed into the Adsense program, as a matter of fact if at this time, you own more than one Adsense accounts and the system through referral traffic, DNS or domain WHOIS could decide that you also own other blogs attached to other Adsense, everything is also banned.

That is why Adsense Ban is the Ultimate Kicker. It breaks the strongest, and there are several reasons Adsense can ban you, some of which are, thin content, navigation or site behavior issue, invalid traffic, invalid clicks, self clicking etc, you’re advised to read more about this and Adsense policies before you embark on this journey of Arbitrage Blogging.

In a situation where you have an existing blog with Adsense, and you want to do arbitrage, the best method is creating a new subdomain specifically for the Arbitrage end.

As long as your main blog is receiving search traffic and earning little, you can use another section (subdomain) to run your arbitrage.

This is Infact the best form and longest lasting type of arbitrage blogging, because doing it like this masks your arbitrage traffic, boosts your Cost per link (CPC).

If you already have a blog and approved adsence approved account with low CPC like News blog.
News blogs rarely have high CPC, if the existing blog is an Educational blog, it would have been very perfect for this, an education blog ordinarily has high CPC because there’s lot of high paying advertisers there, like universities, schools etc.

So, if you have an Adsense + Blog and you want to run arbitrage, just create a new domain on that existing blog e.g visa.domain .com or jobs.domain .com

Alternatively, you can even use a new category within your existing blog like domain .com/visa (post all your Japa and jobs posts here) and begin to send paid traffic there to those post.

I prefer the later more, as during a human review, the traffic from your existing blog and sub folder or category are reviewed as one, but for a subdomain, it’s reviewed on its own.

How much you need to start Google Adsense Arbitrage

👌The exact figure you need and my best Game-plan to start Google Adsense Arbitrage

However, before you jump in and put your money, i really wanted you all to know How much is required to start Adsense Arbitrage, and what’s involved

How much you need to start Google Adsense Arbitrage.
I will write all that is required financially to start Arbitrage blogging in various sections, from Adsense + domain cost, writing cost and best affordable alternatives, ads cost and the best way to start for better cost effectiveness.

1. Adsense + Domain Cost:
This is actually one of the many cost that makes it hard for newbies to plague Adsense Arbitrage, so many get stuck here because they want to follow the cheapest route by setting up a blog and hoping Adsense approves them when they apply.

In this piece, i will share why you may need to buy one if you’re serious, and in coming posts when i write about the type of Adsense to buy you’ll get the clearer picture and how you can even partner with others to run it as a group (in a case the money is too much for you alone to carry).

Where can you buy Adsense + Domain? There are some Whatsapp group, called “Adsense Buy/Sell Group” it connects webmasters, bloggers and vendors who’re selling their old Adsense accounts + blogs— Prices varies, we advise you use escrow there when transacting and you must first understand the types of Adsense+Blogs before you proceed. Please. Escrow is very important, i won’t be held liable for your loss as i rarely engage in the group only except i want to buy.

Alternatively, You can make posts on Facebook or join Popular Bloggers’ Facebook groups to seek for the purchase of an Adsense account + domain. This also works, and i advice you use trusted escrow service or people who’d see that the deal goes smoothly.

The Price? It’s important to note that, prices are always padded by vendors and there may be two or more third-parties involved in the sale of a single Adsense account, if you want to get the best deal it’s best you speak with the direct owner and most times, its rare to see a direct owner, prices are also not spelt out publicly by many of these vendors because some wants to make excess gains depending on their greed-level or your knowledge of what you’re buying.

So, it’s important to negotiate, bargain and speak to multiple sellers at a time so you can get the best prices. However keep in mind an Adsense account + Domain cost up to N200,000+ Naira.

You can research about the Type of Adsense to Buy.
